Manager, Business Development Rep (BDR) Team

Salsa Labs is actively looking for a Manager, Business Development to oversee a team of 6-12 Business Development Reps (BDRs) who are focused on generating sales leads and scheduling appointments for our Account Executives to demo our products. As a key member of Salsa's Sales organization, your focus will be to coach and mentor the Business Development team to meet and exceed sales objectives. As a successful salesperson, you'll be responsible for training BDRs in sales best practices in the areas of cold calling, quality lead generation and appointment/demo setting.
Job Responsibilities:
Train, mentor and motivate Business Development Reps to achieve quotas and sales metrics on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Synthesize data from Salesforce.com and phone system to monitor BDR activities and pipeline, and use this data to provide prescriptive recommendations for improvement.
Instill a sense of accountability among all BDR team members by helping role model performance and holding staff accountable to individual and organizational performance standards .
Work closely with Sales and Marketing stakeholders to ensure leads meet quality standards and that leads are properly vetted by BDRs before scheduling for demos/appointments.
Coach BDRs during scheduled 1 x 1's and daily/weekly team meetings, with a focus on employee development.
Help determine and arrange product training sessions to increase the knowledge of the BDR team as needed.
Continuously educate yourself on the latest digital fundraising and advocacy best practices in the nonprofit space.
Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
Sales leader with successful experience managing an inside sales or lead generation team, preferably in the SaaS industry.
Extensive cold calling, prospecting, and pipeline management experience is required.
Must be able to pull reports, understand sales dashboards, and analyze sales data to make prescriptive recommendations for improvement.
Proven ability to hit personal sales targets in past sales positions, and can successfully coach others to hit sales targets.
Bachelor's degree in business related field strongly preferred.
Experience using Salesforce.com.
BONUS: Experience fundraising for a non-profit, or knowledge of the non-profit fundraising industry

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
